Kay’s Journal: Grunge Sisters’ Garage Band Rap

Here’s what I’m writing about in my journal this week!

JV icon K Journal

My  older sister, Susie, had a birthday last Friday. Prior, she emailed our younger sister and me to tell us that all she wanted for her birthday was for us to spend the day with her in her garage, downsizing some towering columns of banker boxes filled with various miscellany.

When we arrived, she told us she’d woken up with the inspiration to write a song to memorialize her birthday. She titled it The Grunge Sisters’ Garage Band Rap.

Well. You can guess the rest.

Even though we are all in/around/nearly through our 60s, we are still in 7th grade with hairbrush microphones. Happy Birthday, Grunge Sister Suze, and thanks for inspiring me to cross “make a rap video” off my bucket list!

So tell me: Is this actually hilarious, or did I just make a giant fool of myself? (Are they mutually exclusive?)

And you’ve just added another clutter clearing song to the repertoire. Good news for the world. Love the donuts at the end!!!

That’s what Deborah Ross said! “Has Carolyn seen this? She’ll want it for clutter-clearing!”

Just saw this! Play is good. Play with sisters even better.
You did us a favor, Kay, gave us permission to be silly.

Always glad to give permission to be silly! Thanks, Carol. I’m blessed with goofy sisters.
