Kay’s Journal: Coming Attractions

Hi, I’m Kay Adams. Here’s what I’m thinking about this week.

It’s been a visionary 2018 at CJT! We have lots planned for the rest of this year and into next. All of this is in development, so details will follow — but here are some previews of coming attractions.

Journalversity. Expanding Journalverse’s mission to be “a learning community for journal writers and facilitators worldwide,” we have under development a whole new short-course, “evergreen” (start when you wish, finish at your own pace) school that will make FREE and paid classes available in less intensive courses than TWI offers. Most will be CE-providing for therapists. Watch for an email about this very soon!

Women’s Writing Retreat in Mexico. Come February, we’ll be heading south (35 miles south of Guadalajara, in Ajijic) for the Women’s Circle, Women’s Story retreat at a beautiful venue. As we did in Scotland, it will be a 6-day retreat (vs. our regular 5-day) so that we can have a full day for thermal springs, sightseeing in and around Lake Chapala, etc. We are limited to 15 women. Dates: Feb 3-8, 2019.

Mastermind Intensive (final title TBA). Mid-March 2019 brings a brand-new retreat experience, a 5-day immersion into turbo-charging your life, goals, visions through the signature transformational methods I’ve used to create everything I’ve achieved since 1984–including a graduate degree, the JTTS workshop, the Center for Journal Therapy, the Therapeutic Writing Institute, the Journalverse, sixteen books, dozens of workshops, three international conferences, the house I live in, a life made by hand…. This one won’t be for everyone, as it is a large commitment. But for those who are ready to step into a Big Vision, it can be a game-changer.

Journal to the Self Instructor Retreat. Mid-October 2019 brings a business development retreat in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, exclusively for Journal to the Self instructors.

You heard it here first!  What do you think? Anything you know you won’t be able to resist?

I took out an unusual book from the library last week: How to Think like Leonardo da Vinci. At the back, I glanced at the author’s references and lo and behold, the very first one under Recommended Reading was your famous Journal to the Self. Gelb’s comment was “filled with marvelous exercises for increasing self knowledge.” Just in case you’d like to know…and, of course, now I’m curious and must look at it again. (I was going to anyway as I get ready for the class in memoir writing.)
